Team Coaching for Turnaround & Transformation

Taking high-potential teams from good to great - and from great to outstanding.

Talented people, stalled team?

Even the most brilliant individuals can stall when team dynamics fracture, strategy blurs or psychological safety is compromised. Stagnant growth and defensive silos are rarely a lack of talent - they are symptoms of a team that is not aligned.

Our team coaching programmes combine rigorous assessment, individual coaching and facilitated group sessions. We work with the team as a whole and with the people in it, so that change happens in the room and carries on long after the programme ends.

Reflecting on how individual behaviours land with others and the impact they have.

Leaving every session with agreed actions and owners, so progress is visible.

How a team coaching programme works

  1. Initial assessment

We meet with the team leader and sponsors to understand the context, identify the scope and tailor the programme.

  2. Team assessments and 1:1 coaching

Customised assessments and individual coaching sessions give each team member a confidential space and give us an honest picture of the team.

  3. Team away-days

Facilitated sessions for analysis, visioning, strategy and action planning, where the team works on itself together.

  4. Conflict resolution and rebuilding

Targeted work on the relationships and patterns that are holding the team back.

  5. Embedding new ways of working

Policy and process reviews, plus leadership development for team leaders through Masterclass sessions, so changes stick.

What clients say

"This coaching programme has brought us together as a team and we had some difficult relationships previously. We have had a combination of group and 1:1 coaching sessions which have really helped me along the journey. Carolyn has kept us on track as a team ensuring we left all of our sessions with clear actions."
"I was cynical about the process at first, but in all honesty, have found a lot of value in the group and 1:1 coaching - both as a team and on an individual level. I feel safer, happier, and more confident in my leadership."
"Identifying individual colleagues' strengths and how we can make the most of these has been the catalyst for what we hope will lead to real positive and impactful changes across our leadership team."
"This process has allowed protected and focused time to reflect on our own leadership behaviours and how impactful they can be on others. I realise how, working together, we can become so much stronger."

Team Coaching FAQs

What is the difference between team coaching and team building?

Team building is usually a one-off event focused on getting along. Team coaching is a structured programme that works on how the team actually operates - trust, conflict, strategy and accountability - with assessment, individual coaching and facilitated sessions over time.

Does team coaching include one-to-one coaching?

Yes. Individual 1:1 coaching sessions sit alongside the group work, giving each team member a confidential space to reflect on their own leadership and development.

Can team coaching help with conflict?

Yes. Conflict resolution and relational rebuilding are a core part of the programme, and clients have described how teams with difficult relationships have come together through the process.

How long does a team coaching programme take?

It depends on the size of the team and what it needs to achieve. The scope and timescale are agreed during the initial assessment, before the programme starts.
